Press Release: Chaucer Singapore appoints Ivan Sit as Class Underwriter, Marine

Chaucer Group is excited to announce the recruitment of Asian Marine insurance market veteran Ivan Sit to launch our regional Marine offering via Chaucer’s long and well-established Lloyd’s Singapore platform.

Across the Asia Pacific region Ivan is regarded as a highly respected and experienced Marine practitioner with more than 25 years’ experience. Over his extensive years of experienced Ivan has held senior leadership positions within both insurance and reinsurance carriers as well as within major broking houses across the region.

Ivan will report to Margaret To, CEO of Chaucer Singapore and Simon Schnorr, Head of Marine & Energy at Chaucer.

Simon Schnorr says: “Marine is one of Chaucer’s core lines of businesses and Ivan’s regional expertise and well-established relationships with clients, brokers and carriers across APAC will be invaluable to Chaucer.”

Margaret To, CEO of Chaucer Singapore, adds: “Chaucer brings many of its market leading insurance and reinsurance classes to the APAC region through the Lloyd’s Singapore platform. Ivan’s leadership in Singapore will be key to helping Chaucer build on this success.”
