Phil Hamer

Phillip Hamer is Chaucer Group General Counsel, responsible for leading Chaucer’s legal, regulatory and governance agenda and advising the business on strategic, corporate and commercial matters. He brings more than 20 years’ experience in law and regulation within the insurance market, with a strong background across legal leadership and heads our legal, corporate governance, compliance, product development, mergers & acquisitions and company secretarial functions. Before joining Chaucer, Phillip served as General Counsel and Executive Director at CNA Hardy, and previously worked at QBE as Head of the Corporate Legal team, with responsibility for acquisitions and disposals.
