Sam Bishop

Sam started at Chaucer in January 2026, tasked with establishing the Conventional Power team. An engineer by trade, he graduated from Leicester University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and spent the early years of his career at Alstom (now GE), working as a Site Engineer on UK power plant outage programmes. Drawing on this first-hand experience of power stations, he began his insurance career over 15 years ago at CV Starr and has taken a technical approach to underwriting ever since.
