Simon Schnorr
Head of Marine & Energy
Simon joined Chaucer end of 2023 to assume overall strategic leadership and portfolio management of Marine & Energy globally. He joined Chaucer from McGill and Partners’ Treaty Reinsurance Team where he focused on the construction and placement of bespoke Marine & Energy reinsurance programmes and MGA capacity sourcing. Prior to that Simon held senior leadership roles at Starstone Insurance Holdings including CEO of the Lloyd’s Managing Agency as well as Global Head of Marine, Energy, Aviation and Transportation. Overall, Simon has close to 30 years’ experience in the Marine & Energy insurance and reinsurance space having held leadership positions in both underwriting and broking businesses in London and internationally including at Aon, Benfield, Marsh and Thomas Miller Group.
